Founded in 1976 by James R. Pride, DDS, Pride Institute is a practice management consulting company dedicated to substantially improving the professional, financial and personal lives of dentists and their staff through education and training. For over 30 years, Pride Institute’s faculty have taught thousands of dentists across the U.S. and abroad how to excel in leadership, case presentation, appointment scheduling, financial arrangements, new patient examination and consultation, annual production and expense planning, marketing, practice appraisal, debt restructuring and retirement planning and more.

What We Offer
Pride Institute offers a nationally acclaimed, results-oriented Management Program—a year-long series of workshops and telephone consultation support designed to let dentists practice their dreams. Through a series of nearly 70 specific internal systems, from appointment scheduling to selling comprehensive restorative dentistry out of the hygiene room, dentists learn how they can deliver the quality technical care they have been trained to provide, while working around the limitations of insurance plans and other factors which cause patients to refrain from accepting the quality care they need.

Today, Amy's advanced techniques are used by dentists at every stage of their careers, helping to find the right financial strategy for the recent graduate, the established practice, all the way to a secure retirement.

Traveling across the country, Amy leads a team of Pride consultants who work one-on-one with dentists and their teams on an ongoing basis to bring cutting-edge business solutions to their practices.

Amy has spoken at the American Dental Association Annual Session, Hinman Meeting, Yankee Dental Society, Arizona Dental Society, National Dental Association and other local and state dental societies. She also writes articles about real-life obstacles that dentists face for Dental Economics.

Amy and the Pride Institute, in partnership with the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, have launched the first joint effort between a dental school and a professional management firm to teach business and management skills to senior dental students as a standard part of their curriculum. Since inception of this program, we have added the dental schools of four universities: Marquette University, Indiana University, Tufts University, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
