Title:
How to Manage a Practice in Growth: The Keys for New Practice Success
Synopsis:
One of the hardest things a new dentist has to learn is to proactively recognize the strengths and challenges of your existing or start up practice when managing staff, systems and cash flow and results. There are so many elements to a small business that a dentist/owner can easily get lost in the emotion and histrionics of balancing new debt, stabilizing cash flow and lose perspective by focusing on what’s happening in the moment. As a new owner, you should be able to diagnose your new business as if you were diagnosing a full mouth reconstruction (without blaming the patient or their circumstance).
Learning Objectives:
- The 4 stages of practice life and how to maximize each level
- How to “hit the ground running and achieve your goals for service, profitability and balance of life!
- The real signs of your financial health, and how to use them to inspire growth
- The keys to hiring and developing an outstanding, motivated self-directed team and compensating and rewarding them fairly
- The immediate system musts needed for sudden impact ROI

A Letter From The President
It is with great pleasure that we at Pride Institute present our new web site. As I have learned over the many months of planning and creation, this is an ongoing work in progress, so continue to check back in with us as the site grows and adapts to your ongoing management, technological, and clinical needs. Before I highlight a few areas that will be new to Pride membership and the dental community, great thanks are due. First and foremost is to Marene Harof, our Marketing and Operations Manager who has been relentless in her focus and insight to get the site to what it is today. Words cannot express the level of appreciation we all have at Pride. Secondly to Michelle Eggers, Director of Web Operations and CEO Diana Friedman of Sesame Communications who provided significant hours in design and development of the site. When it came to making a choice of who the best is in this arena it was easy, Sesame Communications. We gave them the unique challenge of tackling a corporate web site for the first time, and their web design team which I consider the best in the industry, really outdid themselves.
As you browse through the site notice the addition of our orthodontic division and our exclusive partnership with Dentsply GAC. We feel very fortunate to have been selected by them and look forward to providing GAC orthodontists, programs, products, and services that will assist them in creating consistent growth and efficient management, while providing ongoing educational insight into social media. This is our third year in providing the Pride Institute Best of Class Awards and again much thanks to the Pride Key Opinion Leader Panel, Dental Products Report, ADA, and Dental Economics in assisting us to provide a true unbiased selection process, trusted educational information, and a hands-on experience at Tech Expo at the ADA Annual Session every year. Your time and efforts have allowed us to create a very special initiative and we can’t thank you enough. Finally, we have created a password protected area for our alumni to receive very special benefits, uniquely to you, and look forward to your feedback as we grow and develop this unique community that you can call your own. So, please start at the home page, and take a tour. We look forward to your feedback and suggestions on how all of us at Pride can serve you now and in the years to come.
Lou Shuman
President
